Farleigh House

Bath Rugby have been one of the country's leading clubs ever since they were founded in 1865. And when they decided to launch their iconic country house training ground as a wedding and events venue, they came to us.

Based at beautiful Farleigh House, the Club wanted to open their historic HQ to the public for weddings and celebrations.

We worked with CEO Tarquin McDonald, Marketing Manager Jojo Bowles and creative lead Matthew Rogers to develop a visually distinctive brand identity and website to represent not just the refined building but also the culture and values of the organisation - meticulous attention to detail and magnificent entertainment.

What we did

  • Working directly with the CEO and marketing team we refines what Farleigh House stood for alongside Bath Rugby, created a distinctive positioning that differentiated them from their nearest competitors, and developed a unique tone of voice to communicate authentically with their audience.

  • From moodboards and colour palettes and logos to typography and photography guidelines, we developed a clean and contemporary identity that still gave a nod to the tradition and history of the house.

The logomark is informed by the proportions and shapes of the major parts of the building itself. A subtle nod to its grandeur but - like the venue itself - recast in a contemporary format for a vibrant by down-to-earth audience.

  • We worked alongside Jojo and their chosen photographer to develop the photography guidelines into a detailed shot list, and with their web developer to ensure the guidelines were executed correctly on the new website.
